Alumna Elena Zagari nominated for the Taylor Wessing Portrait Prize

We are thrilled to announce that Elena Zagari, one of our most recent graduates from the BA (Hons) Fashion Photography course, has been nominated for the prestigious Taylor Wessing Portrait Prize. Even more exciting, her portrait has been chosen as the official poster image for the competition’s 2025 exhibition.

The Taylor Wessing Portrait Prize, hosted by the National Portrait Gallery in London, is one of the leading international awards for portrait photography. This year, Elena’s work will not only be shown alongside other exceptional contemporary portraiture but will also take centre stage as the visual emblem of the exhibition.

Elena’s selection brings great pride to our school. It is a testament to her creative vision, technical skill, and the training she has received. Her achievement is also a reminder of how graduates from our programme continue to make their mark in the wider photographic community.

The exhibition opens in 2025 at the National Portrait Gallery (London). We hope that many in our community will come to see her work in person and support her success.
